The first quarterly report of progress made by LICI since its inaugural has been delivered. The report was delivered by the president and heads of committees on March 30th following the combined Liberian community service.
In her welcome statement, the President Madam Comfort Kenneh thanked members for the huge turn out and admonished Liberians living in Columbus to get involved with activities of the community.
The progress report which covered January 1, 2014 through March 31, 2014 was intended to highlight and inform members of LICI of a transparent and responsible leadership they elected.
During the power point presentation, the president read the financial statement that included due payment, income from inaugural ball, building funds, phone system, donation and expenditure, while the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer also elaborated on other areas of the report.
Speaking at the meeting, a long time resident of this community praised the leadership for their fore-sightedness and hope this will be a continued process during the Comfort Kenneh administration and all other administrations to follow.
The exercise was later followed by a question and answer period to give members the chance to critique and let their voices be heard…
