The primary purpose of the Assistant Executive Director’s position is to assist the Director in managing all operations, activities and functions of LICI and represent the Director when necessary.  The goal is to assist in managing the day to day activities and lead LICI towards realization of its mission. The Assistant Executive Director will be responsible for the following:

  • Be the Principal Deputy to the Director/President.
  • Stand in fiduciary relations with the LICI, acting in good faith with due regard to the interest of the organization, and make the welfare of LICI paramount at all times.
  • Perform Executive Director’s duties in the absence of the Director.
  • Assist the Director with his or duties whenever possible.
  • Serve as Chairman Ex-Officio of all standing committees.
  • Act as Director in the event of the Director’s removal from office, resignation, death, or inability to discharge the duties and responsibilities of the Director.
Required skills:
  • The Assistant Executive Director must have three or more years’ senior non- profit management experience and a Bachelor’s degree. Individual must also the experience and skills in working with Board of Directors and must have high level strategic thinking and planning, ability to envision and convey the organization’s strategic future to the staff, board, volunteers and donors. Individual must be transparent and possess high integrity leadership and has history of successfully generating new revenue stream and improving financial results.
